EMBARRASING

One could’ve easily took one glance at the respective lineups for the American League and National League teams and seen that the American League had the better lineup.

But here is the thing the so called experts never manage to factor in when predicting a winner…the National League has better pitching. By FAR.

That is why they win the All-Star game, and THAT is why they have taken the World Series titles in recent years.

Do any of you think that the Giants or Cardinals knocked off the heavy hitting Texas Rangers in consecutive years because they had better hitting??

It just goes to prove an old, historical opinion on the game of baseball. I’ll take good pitching over good hitting any day of the week. Hitting sells tickets, pitching wins championships.

The National League lineup that was supposed to be so inferior to the American League’s lineup, jumped on defending AL MVP and Cy Young Award winner to the tune of 5 first inning runs on Tuesday night in Kansas City, and the National League never looked back.

Lead by stellar performances from the San Francisco Giants Matt Cain, Pablo Sandoval, and eventual All-Star game MVP, Melky Cabrera, the National League All-Stars shut out the American League All-Stars, 8-0 and assured that the first two games of this season’s World Series will be played in a National League ball park.

In closing…..this game SHOULD BE AN EXHIBITION and home field advantage should be awarded to the team with the best fucking record of the two.

It’s that simple.

The game is supposed to be a weekend off for the players. Let them have a little fun without potentially worrying about screwing their team out of a possible World Series home field advantage.
