NFL WEEK 5 IN REVIEW: Falcons 24, Redskins 17

Matt Ryan completed 34 of 52 passes for 345 yards and 2 TD’s, Michael Turner ran for 67 yards and a TD, and the Atlanta Falcons improved to 5-0 on the season.
Tony Gonzalez was in BEAST mode on Sunday, making 13 catches for 123 yards, and what seems like his millionth career touchdown, and Julio Jones complemented Gonzalez dominance nicely with 10 catches for 94 yards and a TD of his own.
The Redskins lost a lot more thatn the game on Sunday.
Franchise QB Robert Griffin 3rd suffered what the team is calling a “mild concussion” in the 3rd quarter of the game, and turned things over to backup Kirk Cousins. Griffin insists he will be ready to play this coming Sunday.
First of all, there is no such thing as a “mild” concussion. You either have a bruise on your brain, or you don’t. Second, you gotta love RG3’s enthusiasm, but in today’s NFL, that decision simply isn’t up to him.
RG3 will now have to undergo several concussion tests throughout the week and be cleared by independent neurologists before he can return to the field.
