When did Kurt Busch turn into a qualifying MONSTER?

When the green flag drops for the 43 drivers on the track Sunday afternoon at Michigan International Speedway, Kurt Busch will be leading them.
This will mark the 3rd consecutive week that Kurt Busch has qualified on the pole.
Busch has no wins to show for his previous two starts on the pole position, but the ability to start close to the front, especially on the pole is a huge deal in NASCAR, and motorsports in general.
The fact that Busch is qualifying so well probably shouldn’t come as that huge of a shock. Kurt has an average starting sport inside the top 15 for 8 of his 12 Sprint Cup seasons, but 3 poles in 3 races is Ryan Newman type shit.
All though many believe that the Roush-Fenway cars have the upperhand this weekend at Michigan, Kurt has 2 career wins at this track, and quite a bit of momentum.
Could Sunday’s race lead to Busch’s 1st win of the season?
We shall see.
Kurt Busch’s to do list for the weekend:
Qualify on the pole- Run up front all day
- Keep Kevin Harvick away from his baby brother Kyle now that Kevin’s probation has been lifted
- Keep Richard Childress from choking his baby brother out, AGAIN!
- Win the race
I will update you guys Sunday night on how many items Kurt can cross off of his checklist….
