2brilliant2function has come to save you from ESPN.com’s bogus NBA player rankings…
As they do every year, ESPN.com has posted who they believe to be the top 500 players in the NBA in order. And while I agree with many of the player’s and their spots on the list, some of them are just down right offensive, in my opinion. So I am going to give you ESPN.com and it’s Top 50, right along side the 2brilliant2function Top 50! Bring on the backlash, the hate, and the opinions! Here we go…

There you have it! ESPN.com’s Top 50 ballers in the NBA vs. my own PERSONAL Top 50 ballers in the league.
ESPN.com and I disagree in many areas, but one in which we clearly agree on is that LeBron James is now the best basketball player in the world beyond the shadow of a doubt.

If you disagree with any of my picks, think I left somebody off, want to compliment me on my list, or want to mercilessly HATE on it without merit, hit me up, http://2brilliant2function.tumblr.com/ask
According to ESPN.com, there are TWO players in the city of Los Angeles better than Kobe Bryant…

What a crock of shit!
ESPN.com rated the top 500 players in the NBA, and ranked Kobe Bryant at number 6, behind Chris Paul of the Clippers, and his new Lakers’ teammate Dwight Howard.
ESPN, there aren’t 2 players in ALL of the World better than Kobe Bryant, let alone in LA LA land itself.
But thanks for giving my boy additional motivation (as if he needs it) to win that 6th championship ring this season.
He already has one ring for each player you ranked in front of him, and more rings than every other player in the top 10 combined.
When analyzing a player’s hall of fame credentials at the end of his basketball careeer, the so called experts always act as if total championships are the end all, be all of the discussion. Yet they go so far out of their way to disrespect the NBA player that defines winning better than any other WHILE he is STILL playing.
I just don’t get it…
why the fuck are they showing highlights of the hot dog contest on ESPN??
Hot dog eating is NOT a sport.
And eating 68 hot dogs doesn’t make you an atlete.
It makes you a fat ass!
I LOVE how the guys at ESPN are saying that Florida State looked liked the multi National Title winning Noles teams from the 90’s, WHILE THE WERE WHOOPING UP ON UL-MONROE!

Are you fucking kidding me????
I don’t have ANYTHING against Florida State, and they may very well go on to accomplish great things, but I believe that comparing them to FSU teams from the 90’s that won National Titles just because they beat the breaks off of University of Louisianna-Monroe, makes it sound like they may be getting just a little far in front of themselves…
Let’s let them do what they did today, to #1 Oklahoma in Week 3 before we hand them the fuckin BCS title, k?
Could NOT have picked a WORSE day

The Angels Ervin Santana pitched 9 innings of no-hit, 1 walk, 10 strikeout ball on the way to the first No-hitter for the Angels franchise since 1990.
This is the kind of accomplishment that should be BLOWING UP ESPN right about now…right?
Just one problem…Ervin picked a day in which Carlos Beltran got traded to the Giants, the Mariners FINALLY ended their 17 game losing streak, Donovan McNabb got traded to the Vikings, Matt Haselbeck signed with the Titans, Sidney Rice signed with the Seahawks, a Kevin Kolb trade to Arizona is becoming more clear, and news of Plaxico Burress signing with what appears to most likely be the Steelers or Giants is circulating to accomplish a feat that is becoming more and more common in post steroids baseball.
Poor Ervin.
At least he actually managed to accomplish this impressive feat against a Playoff contender in the Cleveland Indians. More and more it seems that pitchers only seem to accomplish this feat against MLB bottom dwellers.
Congratulations on your masterful no-hit pitching performance Mr. Santana!
It’s a shame that the Sports world will have completely forgotten about it by the time I click “Create post.”
Sick and fucking tired of seeing World Series of Poker on ESPN
Anything you can drink beer and eat wings while doing, is NOT a fucking sport!
GET IT TOGETHER ESPN!

Jalen Rose, talking about Lakers’ new coaching hire, fmr Cavs coach Mike Brown.
What the fuck does Jalen Rose know? He’s never won a damn thing!
Apparently he doesn’t even know how to gout for a drive without drinking.
That’s why he’s mid 30’s and working at ESPN instead of still playing.

DUHHHHH!!
Dumbass ESPN sports story of the day:
Tom Brady’s injured foot is expected to be completely healed by the start of the season.

Ugh……
FUCKING DUH!
Seeing as how we have no damn clue as to when the season will begin or IF it will begin at all!!
And if it does, it will probably be a partial season.
Tom’s foot could probably be completely severed, and still be ready to go by the time the league gets this thing going!
Come on ESPN!
The NBA and Stanley Cup Playoffs and the MLB season not enough news for you???
