Is there ANY less prestigious title in ALL of sports than the Nationwide Series title?

For those of you who are unaware with how it works, there are 3 major racing series on the NASCAR circuit. The Craftsman Truck Series, the Nationwide Series, and the Sprint Cup Series.
In order to keep the far more talented drivers of the Sprint Cup Series from slipping down to the Nationwide and Truck series and taking the title every year, thus inadverdantly keeping the up and coming talent of the series out of victory lane and out of the eyes of potential major sponsors, NASCAR made a rule that states that a driver is only allowed to run for the championship in one of the three major series.
The rule was made as supposed to banning big name drivers from the lower series, that they know fans will certainly pay big money to see.
That way, Sprint Cup drivers can take home race trophies and valuable track time, NASCAR can cash in on fans paying to see their favorite Sprint Cup drivers suit up for even more events, and the Nationwide drivers get to test their abilities against the biggest names in the sport.
Win, win, win. Right?
WRONG.
Yes it allows Sprint Cup drivers to essentially research and develop all while adding a few additional trophies to the collection, yes it allows NASCAR to cash in with their biggest names in each series, and yes it allows the up and coming drivers of NASCAR to test their abilites against the top dogs.
But above all, what it does is reduce the prestige of the Nationwide Series championship to next to NOTHING.
Each and every season since the implementation of the new rule, more talented and experienced Sprint Cup drivers take more than half of the victories, while a driver with less than 3 wins who most likely wouldn’t have finished in the Top 5 in points under the old system takes home the title.
How any Nationwide Series champion could place any value whatsoever on that title is beyond me. The new rule and the championship trophy doesn’t say, “I’m the best,” it says, “I only have this title due to a technicality.”
In the next Olympic games, the United States should be banned from competing for the Gold because they have the most talent. Or keep any overseas teams from competing for the Gold because they may have NBA players who are native to that country on their rosters.
Let’s hope to hell that those that devised the current championship rules for NASCAR never get elected to the Olympic committee…..
For most drivers, being parked for two races in a singe weekend after intentionally wrecking another driver under caution would be the most embarrassing thing that happened to them ALL season…
but when you are Kyle Busch, and you had your ass STOMPED by a 65 year old car owner earlier in the season, all of the sudden, this just seams like another day.
What a fuckin pussy…
NASCAR parks Kyle Busch for Nationwide, Sprint Cup races in Texas after he intentionally wrecks Ron Hornaday in truck race
NASCAR finally did the right thing when it comes to Kyle Busch.
After Busch intentionally wrecked Ron Hornaday as his own personal form of “payback” followind a pure race incident between the two, Kyle showed myself, Hornaday, and EVERY other driver and fan involved in the sport of NASCAR what we have long known.
That Kyle Busch is a fuckin idiot who thinks that he is the only one on a track of 42 other cars, and that everybody else should just get out of his way.
The so called “wonderboy” has been getting his way and getting away with murder for far too long.
A couple of seasons ago, NASCAR implemented their “boys have at it” policy in an attempt to make them drive more aggresively, and put on a better show for the fans.
Many people, myself included, wondered, where’s the line? What does it take to cross that line?
With NASCAR’s decision to park Kyle Busch both for today’s Nationwide race as well as tomorrow’s Sprint Cup race, we FINALLY have our answer!
Bravo, NASCAR!
Bout fuckin time!
Apparently, all one has to do in order to achieve success in NASCAR is break their ankle…

It’s working for Brad Keselowski.
Dude has won 2 of the last 4 races since he broke his ankle, and has finished NO WORSE than 3rd in any of the 4.
Have fun celebrating by downing a few Miller Lite’s courtesy of your sponsor that you don’t even look old enough to drink, Brad!
Jimmie Johnson is hoping like hell that Brad doesn’t break the other ankle, or he may never lose again!
I bet that Kyle Busch is just tinkled pink at the recent success of Brad Keselowski…
It’s only fitting that a man such as Kyle Busch that doesn’t even have a driver’s liscense for the next month and a half would get his ass beat in a sport that REQUIRES him to drive by a man with a broken ankle, right?
This is truly the theme of the NASCAR season. The off of the track drama and side stories are FAR more entertaining than the on the track product.

Kurt Busch dominated the BIG boys on Sunday at Infineon winning his first career road course race in style.
Meanwhile, his younger brother Kyle is getting his ass kicked by 65 year old car owners, while ducking and dodging ass whoopins from Sprint Cup drivers, and picking on those less talented and less fortunate in him in NASCAR’s lower series’ that he is too talented to be racing in, in the first place.
Where would NASCAR be without the Busch boys, right?
When did Kurt Busch turn into a qualifying MONSTER?

When the green flag drops for the 43 drivers on the track Sunday afternoon at Michigan International Speedway, Kurt Busch will be leading them.
This will mark the 3rd consecutive week that Kurt Busch has qualified on the pole.
Busch has no wins to show for his previous two starts on the pole position, but the ability to start close to the front, especially on the pole is a huge deal in NASCAR, and motorsports in general.
The fact that Busch is qualifying so well probably shouldn’t come as that huge of a shock. Kurt has an average starting sport inside the top 15 for 8 of his 12 Sprint Cup seasons, but 3 poles in 3 races is Ryan Newman type shit.
All though many believe that the Roush-Fenway cars have the upperhand this weekend at Michigan, Kurt has 2 career wins at this track, and quite a bit of momentum.
Could Sunday’s race lead to Busch’s 1st win of the season?
We shall see.
Kurt Busch’s to do list for the weekend:
Qualify on the pole- Run up front all day
- Keep Kevin Harvick away from his baby brother Kyle now that Kevin’s probation has been lifted
- Keep Richard Childress from choking his baby brother out, AGAIN!
- Win the race
I will update you guys Sunday night on how many items Kurt can cross off of his checklist….
wha a doctor would say to NASCAR driver Kyle Busch after he got his ass kicked by 65 year old car owner Richard Childress….

He avoided Kevin Harvick like he owed him child support!!
TOP 10 MOST DISLIKED SPORTS FIGURES
Forbes recently conducted a study to determine the “10 Most Disliked People in Sports.” This year’s Top 10, courtesy of Forbes.com, are:
- Al Davis-Owner of the Oakland Raiders
- Michael Vick-QB Philladelphia Eagles
- Jerry Jones-Owner of the Dallas Cowboys
- Tiger Woods
- Manny Ramirez-Outfielder Tampa Bay Rays
- Terrell Owens-Wide Reciever Cincinatti Bengals
- Albert Haynesworth-Defensive Lineman Washington Redskins
- Mark McGwire-Retired St. Louis Cardinal, current hitting coach for Cardinals
- Bob Knight-Hall of Fame College basketball coach, current ESPN analyst
- Randy Moss-Wide Reciever Tennessee Titans
That is “THEIR” list. I must admit, that I pretty much couldn’t disagree more with it. It sucks in fact. Al Davis? Most hated man in sports? The average “young” fan doesn’t even know who this bastard is, not to mention, this man isn’t even the most disliked owner on MY list. You want my stance on Michael Vick? He fucked up. He fucked up bad, but he has suffered the consequences and paid his debt to society. One of the many things that I dislike so much about our society is how hypocrytical we are. MOST of us have screwed up, many of us every bit as bad as him. How would we feel if we were publicly executed in the world of public opinion? I feel the same about Tiger Woods. I believe that the oath of marriage is THE MOST sacred oath we as human beings can take, and Tiger violated it MANY times over. But he payed desperately for it! He had his public life exposed to the entire world, his wife divorced him, he has lost full custody of his children, he has lost most of his sponsors, and his golf game still hasn’t returned to the level it was at before all of this happened. He has suffered enough, let’s move on! Now, to “MY TOP 10 MOST DISLIKED SPORTS FIGURES.”
- Rex Ryan-Head Coach New York Jets…DAMN I DESPISE THIS GUY!! I’m not sure if the Jets hired this sumbitch to coach, or to selfishly promote himself in order to then draw attention to the team. If they hired him for the latter, this bastard deserves a raise! DOES HE EVER SHUT UP??? You never heard anything about the Jets players. It was always Rex Ryan this, Rex Ryan that, from the moment the HBO series “Hard Knocks” debuted in the pre-season til the moment the Jets were gloriously eliminated from the playoffs! Once the Jets got to the playoffs, the talk was, “Rex Ryan vs. Peyton Manning.” Ugh….Ryan is a coach and Peyton is a player! Even though I WISH he would toss on some pads so that an opposing player (preferably Ray Lewis) would knock the shit out of him, the reality is that he is an old fat man on the sidelines! I don’t know what’s more sad, the fact that Ryan is a constant shit talking, self promotional juke box, or the fact that he got the rest of his team to buy into his bullshit, and embody his attitude in their own selfish and self-promotional ways!
- Steve Spurrier-Head Coach South Carolina Gamecocks…Almost everything I feel about Rex Ryan applies to the “ol’ ball coach.” Seriously, this guy won a National Title at Florida, a school that was LOADED with NFL talent, one that ANYBODY could’ve won a National Title with, and everyone in sports treats this guy like he is the personal savior of College Football! Any of you remember his stint with the Redskins?? How about that National title, or even that SEC title that he was CERTAINLY gonna bring the long cursed South Carolina Gamecocks? Quite simply, he is overrated, over payed, and he has had so many analysts in his ear over the years telling him how great he is, that this arrogant son of a gun has bought into it himself! Step into reality Steve…the “ol ball coach,” just ain’t that good…
- Jerry Jones-Owner Dallas Cowboys…Arrogant, cocky, entitled, all despite the fact that the so called “America’s Team” Dallas Cowboys haven’t won a playoff game in a dozen years and are coming off another losing season. Jerry, here is your dose of reality…the Cowboys won Super Bowl titles in the 90’s because they had Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin, and the biggest and meanest offensive line in all of football, it had nothing to do with you! Hire a GM to run the team, and sit your ass down in the luxury box and write the checks.
- Mike Shanahan-Coach Washington Redskins…After one season in Washington, it ALL makes sense! This motherfucker can’t coach! Those super bowl titles in Denver were ALL Elway! The way he handled Albert Haynesworth and Donovan McNabb in the media, especially the fact that he publicly benched former pro-bowler several times over, McNabb, for the final few games of season in favor of freakin Rex Grossman withou even notifying him first is straight up bullshit, and is something you would expect from a first year coach, not one that has won 2 Super Bowls.
- Manu Ginobili-San Antonio Spurs…This may not make sense to many of you, but this guy just gets on my nerves! The way he plays, the way he carries himself, they both just irritate me. Maybe it’s because I’m a life long Lakers fan, and his team, the Spurs have been our biggest West Coast rivals for YEARS….
- Kevin Garnett-Boston Celtics…Plain and simle…a dirty player. I never thought so until he became a Celtic, but apparently many NBA players agree with my assesment. He takes trash talking to far, and he carries that same attitude onto the court. I don’t like it…
- Kyle Busch-NASCAR…Imagine if Steve Spurrier were a Stock Car driver. Busch is arrogant, overly aggressive, drives like he is the only driver on the track and has often put other drivers and crew members in jeopardy with his attitude and on track actions. This kid has loads of talent, and NASCAR needs a bad boy, but a line has to be drawn somewhere…
- Rusty Wallace-Retired Driver Current ESPN NASCAR analyst…Simply put, THE WORST COMMENTATOR IN THE HISTORY OF NASCSAR! Period. No commentator has ever been more likely to state the obvious. The fact that this ignorant sumbitch gets paid buckets of cash to talk about sports when their are hundreds of more qualified recent college graduates, who would gladly do his job at a fraction of what ESPN pays him, irks me to no end…
- Lou Holtz-Retired Coach current ESPN analyst…Never, EVER has there been a more biased analyst! He used to coach at South Carolina and Notre Dame, and this bastard picks both schools to win EVERY SINGLE TIME!! The Cocks could be playing the Steelers and Lou would pick them to win! Word to Lou…THE COCKS BOOTED YOUR ASS FOR THE OL’ BALL COACH!! YOU DO NOT OWE THEM YOUR BIASED OPINIONS! You are payed to be an analyst, and check your personal attachments at the door. When do you plan to start?
- Rajon Rondo-Boston Celtics…Quite simply, this guy is one of the most over rated athletes in all of sports! He gets 15 assists a game because everybody on his damn team is an all-star and because he can’t hit the broad side of a barn when he shoots it himself! I don’t know why anybody even D’s up this guy! Play off of him and make HIM beat you! Trust me…he can’t do it!
