Kevin Harvick to join Stewart-Haas Racing in 2014
Kevin Harvick, driver of the number 29 Budweiser Chevrolet for Richard Childress Racing, will leave the only team he has ever driven for in NASCAR effective at the start of the 2014 season.
Harvick arrived on the NASCAR scene in 2001 as the replacement to the late, great Dale Earnhardt following his fatal crash at the 2001 Daytona 500.
Harvick won his first career cup race a mere 3 weeks after Earnhardt’s death as he narrowly defeated Jeff Gordon at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Harvick will be joining what will be a 4 car team at Stewart-Haas in 2014, along with Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman, and Danica Patrick.
Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick in the same driver stable?
That is CERTAIN to be must see television on a weekly basis.
Too bad my boy Dale Earnhardt Jr. is pretty much eliminated from title contention because of Tony Stewart’s “mistake…”

As much as I love NASCAR, watching 43 3,000 lb. stock cars make right AND left turns all day long is about as exciting as Olympic water polo.
